Raising awareness and support for literacy — one tile at a time!
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County (LCOC) will host its Scrabble Fest Fundraiser, at the Oswego Elks Lodge, to benefit adult and children’s literacy across Oswego County.
The Scrabble Fest Fundraiser features 4-person teams coming together to play Scrabble, enjoy a meal with friends, learn about LCOC, and support LCOC’s initiatives that directly serves members of our community!
Serving a need
Literacy skills—the ability to read, write, speak, compute, and solve problems—are essential for individuals and families to succeed in our community. In Oswego County, 17,000 people—1 in 5 adults—struggle to read, which means they may not be able to apply for jobs, manage their health, or help their children learn.
Registration & Format
Individual Player: $40
Team of 4: $140
Each team plays four games, and each game has four rounds. Scores are submitted after each game, and the top three teams overall will be recognized. Individual players will be combined to create a complete team.

Businesses and organizations are invited to support and sponsor the event. All sponsors at all benefit levels will be recognized in the event program and print and electronic media.

• Triple Word Sponsor – Literacy Champion: $1,000
(Includes 2 teams)
• Double Word Sponsor: $500
(Includes 1 team)
• Triple Letter Sponsor: $250
• Double Letter Sponsor: $100
